Statistikkmetadata er strukturert informasjon om statistikk. Dette omfatter informasjon som brukes for å produsere, formidle, forstå, finne eller (gjen)bruke statistikk.

Formålet med siden er å gjøre SSBs metadatasystemer og andre metadatakilder lettere tilgjengelig. Her kan du søke etter informasjon knyttet til variabler, klassifikasjoner, statistikker, begreper etc.

Klassifikasjoner og kodelister (Klass) erstatter Database for standard klassifikasjoner (Stabas).

Consumption in power-intensive manufacturing
DefinisjonTotal consumption in power-intensive manufacturing is the sum of flexible and ordinary consumption in power-intensive manufacturing. Power-intensive manufacturing is defined as pulp and paper production, industrial chemicals, iron, steel and ferro-alloys in addition to primary aluminium and other metals. The contracts for ordinary and flexible power are different. Flexible power can be stopped in the event of limited net capacity.

Ownership
DefinisjonNationality of shipowner where a distinction is made between Norwegian ownership and non-Norwegian ownership. In the Norwegian International Ship Register (NIS) paragraph 1.1 and 1.2 describe Norwegian owned ships while paragraph 1.3 describes foreign owned ships. In the Norwegian Ship Register (NOR) all ships are considered Norwegian owned. Ownership for ships registered outside of NOR and NIS is determined through Lloyds Marine Intelligence Unit.

Classification of basic amount of the National Insurance Scheme (B.a) (average)
BeskrivelseMost of the benefits from the National Insurance Scheme are related to the basic amount (B.a) adjusted by the Parliament on May 1 each year. The basic amount is used as a basis for calculation of basic pension, special supplement, supplementary pension, and supplement for Spouse and Children. The basic amount given here, is the average for year X, i.e.1/3* G(X-1) + 2/3 G(X). The starting point is 1991 when the date of adjustment where moved to May 1.

Classification of Election District
BeskrivelseThe standard for Election District is linked to the Election Act to the Storting, county councils and municipal councils (the Election Act). The constituency consists of constituencies that have a correspondence table for municipalities. Constituency 2021 corresponds to the county division 2017 with municipalities as of 1 January 2021. Constituencies are named with county names followed by «constituency». Constituency numbers correspond to county numbers in county divisions in the period 1972 - 2017. Constituencies constitute a regional area for county council elections. Municipalities constitute a regional unit for municipal elections. In addition, it is possible to operate with polling stations (cf. the Election Act §9-3). The municipal council, or the electoral committee after delegation, decides how many constituencies the municipality shall be divided into. The central cadastral authority shall be informed of changes in the constituency division by 31 March in the election year. Before the 2021 election, constituencies were referred to as constituencies in Matrikkelen.
