Statistikkmetadata er strukturert informasjon om statistikk. Dette omfatter informasjon som brukes for å produsere, formidle, forstå, finne eller (gjen)bruke statistikk.
Formålet med siden er å gjøre SSBs metadatasystemer og andre metadatakilder lettere tilgjengelig. Her kan du søke etter informasjon knyttet til variabler, klassifikasjoner, statistikker, begreper etc.
Klassifikasjoner og kodelister (Klass) erstatter Database for standard klassifikasjoner (Stabas).

| Beskrivelse | The standard is based on the International Standard Classification of
Occupations - ISCO-88, prepared by ILO. The EU has developed a version of this
standard (ISCO-88(COM)), which is the basis for the Norwegian standard. The
Norwegian standard will be replacing the Nordic Classification of Occupations
(NYK).The standard classification of occupations is designed for official statistics of
Norway, and will also be instrumental in labour exchange and vocational
guidance. When developing the Norwegian standard, both these needs are considered. Since
ISCO-88(COM) from the beginning was developed for statistical purposes, the
statistical needs probably are better met than the needs in the labour
exchange area. However, the Labour Market Administration will continue to
develop a classification of occupations, in order to satisfy the needs in the
field of labour exchange. This means that some occupations will be classified
by 5-6 digits, while others have 2-3 digits. This classification will comply with the
ISCO-88(COM) standards.
The classification principle in this version is quite different from the previous one. In this version skill is the main classification principle, while the previous one was based on activity units. |

| Beskrivelse | The industrial link is expressed in terms of the relative distribution of industries in relation to the working population residing in the municipalities 3 November 1990 (Population and Housing Census). An investigation is first made as to whether the production industries collectively employ more people than the service industries. If this is the case, the industry code for the municipality is based on the relationship between the four production industry units. In cases where one of the production industry units is responsible for more than two thirds of the total number of people employed within production industries, the municipality is assigned a code with the letter. In all other cases, the code consists of two letters depends on the relative sizes of the units. In the remaining municipalities, the service industries employ more people than the production industries.
The industrial link is a criterion in the Standard Classification of Municipalities. |
