Statistikkmetadata er strukturert informasjon om statistikk. Dette omfatter informasjon som brukes for å produsere, formidle, forstå, finne eller (gjen)bruke statistikk.

Formålet med siden er å gjøre SSBs metadatasystemer og andre metadatakilder lettere tilgjengelig. Her kan du søke etter informasjon knyttet til variabler, klassifikasjoner, statistikker, begreper etc.

Klassifikasjoner og kodelister (Klass) erstatter Database for standard klassifikasjoner (Stabas).

DefinisjonPurchasing power parities are price level indicators which indicate the number of country A's currency units needed in country A in order to maintain the+B41 purchasing power of one currency unit of country B's currency in country B. For example, Norway's purchasing power parity indicates how many Norwegian kroner we need in Norway in order to maintain the purchasing power of one euro in EU28.

BeskrivelseCEPA is a functional classification used to classifiy activities, products, outlays and other transactions whose primary purpose is environmental protection. It is a hierarchic classification with 3 levels (level 1: 9 categories, level 2: 46 categories, level 3: 20 categories). Until now, Norway only produces statistics based on level 1.

Status code
DefinisjonStatus code indicates whether a unit is ceased or not. Legal units in the private sector are ceased when the units themselves report of cessation to the Brønnøysund Register Center. Units in the public sector are ceased by Statistics Norway after contact with the unit or a report from the unit. The Central Coordinating Register of Legal Entities, NAV State Register of Employers and Employees and Statistics Norway cease establishments.

Timecharter paid cost for renting inn a Norwegian ship
DefinisjonCost paid for renting Norwegian ships in the form of a time charterparty. Under this type of contract, the shipowner places his ship, with crew and equipment at the disposal of the charterer for a period of time, q.v., for which the time charterer pays hire money. Subject to any restrictions in the contract, the charterer decides the time and quantity of cargo to be carried and the ports of loading and discharging. He is responsible for supplying the ship with bunkers and for the payment of cargo handling operations, port charges, pilotage, towage and ship's agency. The technical operation and navigation of the ship remain the responsability of the shipowner. The time that that the ship becames "off hire" is deducted from the agreed period of hyre contract. Includes eqivalent cost from agency/pool.
