Statistikkmetadata er strukturert informasjon om statistikk. Dette omfatter informasjon som brukes for å produsere, formidle, forstå, finne eller (gjen)bruke statistikk.
Formålet med siden er å gjøre SSBs metadatasystemer og andre metadatakilder lettere tilgjengelig. Her kan du søke etter informasjon knyttet til variabler, klassifikasjoner, statistikker, begreper etc.
Klassifikasjoner og kodelister (Klass) erstatter Database for standard klassifikasjoner (Stabas).

| Beskrivelse | Oslo introduced parallel names. The county authority/municipality is called Osloven tjïelte in Southern Sámi, Oslo suohkan in Lule Sámi, and Oslo suohkan or Oslo gielda in Northern Sámi.
An adjustment of the municipal boundary towards 3118 Indre Østfold entails the transfer of land areas between three municipalities and five basic statistical units.
These adjustments result in corresponding changes to the county boundaries between Østfold and Akershus.

| Beskrivelse | Regional special codes are codes which are used by different divisions in Statistics Norway in order to distribute all the data regionally.
The division of Svalbard in 21 areas is due to the Governor of Svalbard need for a common geographical areas of Svalbard for administrative purposes. The division includes Bear Island, Hopen and the current six land-use areas (Svea, Barentsburg, Ny-Ålesund, Colesbukta, Pyramiden and Longyearbyen). The division otherwise is based in large protected areas.
The classification is based on the Directorate for Cultural Heritage system which divides the total of Svalbard in "management areas". Take the basis in land-use areas and protected areas. The system has as a starting point that these areas have different management rules.
The division of Svalbard 2017 are not comparable with the previous version. Prior was not areas demarcated, but referring to the individual settlements . Now the certain areas of Svalbard are demarcated according to the limits for the respective planning areas, national park or nature reserve. Eg. is Hornsund included in South Spitsbergen National Park.
