Marginally lower investments in 2026, but still at a high level
Although 2026 investments in industry are estimated to be somewhat lower than in 2025, the level is still high historically. At the same time, updated investment estimates for 2027 suggest that industrial investments will remain at the same level next year.
Oil investment estimate for 2026 upward adjusted
Total investments in oil and gas activity in 2027, including pipeline transportation, are in accrued value estimated at NOK 227 billion, which is 10 per cent higher than estimated in the previous quarter.
Salmon price in the period of August 3rd – August 9th
In the period of August 3rd – August 9th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 74.90 per kilo, up 1.8 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
CPI up 3.0 per cent last 12 months
From July 2025 to July 2026 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.0 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 2.7 per cent. The CPI increased by 1.0 per cent from June to July, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.8 per cent in the same period.
