CPI up 3.6 per cent last 12 months
From March 2025 to March 2026 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.6 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.0 per cent. The CPI increased by 0.2 per cent from February to March, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.1 per cent in the same period.
Salmon price in the period of March 30th – April 5th
In the period of March 30th – April 5th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 89.13 per kilo, down by 1.6 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
Continued price rise on exported goods
The prices that the Norwegian manufacturing industries received for their goods increased overall by 1.5 percent from March last year to March this year. The prices of exported goods have increased significantly over the past six months, especially for seafood. Prices on manufactured goods sold domestically have been more consistent.
