Definition	The parish is the lowest administrative level in ecclesiastical divisions where the population must be able to apply to the same church (parish church), and where there must be a parish council of its own according to the Church Ordinance for the Church of Norway. Parish code is a numerical code that shows hierarchical affiliation with the diocese having the first two positions in the code, the parish has 4, the parish had 6 while the parish has 8.
