Definition	The person or group of persons who are responsible for operating an agricultural holding. In the Central Register of Establishments and Enterprises, the holder is registered as sole proprietorship or as owner or partner in a company, general partnership etc.

Comments	Main holder and reference holder have been used as synonyms for holder. In agricultural statistics presented by Statistics Norway, holders are often classified into natural person and legal person. The latter is sub-divided into general partnership and other legal persons.
