Motor vehicle sales fell 3 per cent

After three years of continuous growth, trade and repair of motor vehicles fell by 3.1 per cent from the first to the second quarter of this year, according to preliminary seasonally-adjusted figures. The turnover of wholesale industries remained at about the same level in the same period.

The preliminary figures for NACE 45 and 46 are published as quarterly indices of value, and at two-digit sector level only. The next publication, on 7 September, will contain bimonthly figures at a more detailed level and will be published in NOK. See also bimonthly figures under “ Previous articles ”.
