Challenges with figures for cross-border trade 1st quarter 2021
Due to very strict travel restrictions in the first quarter of 2021, Statistics Norway has too few observations to be able to estimate trading amounts from the quarter's data material. It has therefore been necessary to estimate figures for expenditure per trip based on previous quarters in the corona period and use these in combination with data for the number of day trips in the first quarter of 2021. Figure for cross-border trade amount is therefore very uncertain and must be interpreted with caution.
