Dramatic growth in government revenues

The central government revenues totalled NOK 758 billion in 2000. This is an increase of 18 per cent compared with 2000, when the central government revenues were NOK 644 billion.

The central government surplus before net transfers to the government petroleum fund was NOK 241.6 billion in 2001. Net transfers to the government petroleum fund amounted to NOK 242.8 billion.

The Ministry of Finance published the Central government fiscal account including the National Insurance Scheme April 26 2002. Statistics Norway presents main features from the Central government fiscal account on a quarterly basis.
