Reduced sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products amounted to 769 million litres in November, a decrease of 1.6 per cent or 13 million litres compared to the same month last year.

Sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline amounted to about half of the total sales of petroleum products. Sales of motor gasoline decreased by 5.5 per cent or 7.4 million litres and sales ended at 127 million litres. In the same month, the sale of auto diesel increased by 2.6 per cent or 6.7 million litres, with total sales ending at 265 million litres.

Sales of heating and lighting kerosene decreased by 31 per cent, and the sales of light heating oils decreased by 17 per cent. The joint sales of these two products amounted to 42 million litres, a decrease of about 10 million litres or 19 per cent.

In November this year, sales of jet fuel ended at 70 million litres. This is 0.9 per cent less than November 2008.

There were 21 delivery days in November 2009, while there were 20 such days in November 2008.
