The Norwegian Food Safety Authority - StatRes

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority – (NFSA) consists of one headquarters, eight regional offices and 54 district offices in 70 locations. NFSA shall, through inspections, guidance, mapping, monitoring, and regulation development promote:

•Safe food and drinking water

•Healthy plants, fish and animals

•Ethical keeping of fish and animals

•Environmentally friendly production

•Good quality, honest production and fair trade

The set of indicators to the NFSA in StatRes is under development. The publication in 2011 contains a limited number of key indicators. On this page presented indicators of input, activities / services and results for the agency overall.

The accounting figures for the Norwegian Food Safety Authority are based on data reported to the Norwegian Government Agency for Financial Management (SSŘ) in connection with the preparation of the state accounts (Report no. 3 to the Storting).

Activities and services

Outcomes

The results/outcomes present regulatory development, inspections, advising and communicating. Outcome indicators from the NAFSA is under development, and for the years 2009 and 2010 only the results from samples for surveillance and control programme (OK-tests) are presented for inspection tasks.

Data Source-related indicators are The Norwegian Institute of Public Health , Norwegian School of Veterinary Science or Bioforsk.
