- Foreign guests drive the increase in hotel guest nights in October Article 30 November
The number of hotel guest nights increased by 1.8 per cent from October last year to October this year. A significant rise in foreign hotel guest nights resulted in an overall increase in the total number of guest nights.

The number of foreign guest nights at hotels increased by 21 per cent compared to September last year, while the number of Norwegian guest nights remained approximately unchanged.

There were 3 million Norwegian guest nights in August this year, representing a decrease of 7.7 per cent compared to August last year. Camping sites experienced the largest decrease in guest nights. Record numbers in foreign guest nights in August did not make up for the decrease of Norwegian guest nights.

Guest nights in Norway decreased by 1.5 per cent from July last year to July this year. July was a good month for the hotels, but fewer guest nights at camping sites pulled the overall number down.

There were 2.7 million hotel guest nights in June this year. This is a 1.8 per cent increase compared to June last year. A large increase in foreign guest nights made up for dwindling Norwegian guest nights at hotels.

Foreign guest nights increased by 16 per cent in May compared to the same month last year. Never before have so many foreigners stayed at Norwegian accommodation establishments in the month of May.

There were 2.1 million guest nights at hotels and other accommodation establishments in February 2023. This is a 19 per cent increase compared to February last year, but the figure is still lower than the same month in 2020.

The number of guest nights at hotels and other accommodation establishments rose by 33 percent from 2021 to 2022, returning to the same level as in 2019, the year before the pandemic.

- Increase in foreign guest nights in November Article 22 December
The number of hotel guest nights increased by 3.0 per cent from November last year to November this year. The increase was caused by a rise in foreign guest nights of 34 per cent.
- Fewer Norwegian guest nights in October Article 25 November
Norwegians accounted for 1.9 million guest nights in October, a decrease of 115 000 from last year. A large increase in foreign guest nights ensured the total number of guest nights remained almost unchanged from October last year.

The number of hotel guest nights increased by 21 percent from September last year to September this year. Both Norwegians and foreigners contributed to the increase.

The number of foreign guest nights in August was at the same level as before the pandemic. There were almost 2 million foreign guest nights, an increase of 129 per cent compared to August 2021. Norwegian overnight stays fell by 8 per cent in the same period.
