Moderate decline in manufacturing
Norwegian industrial leaders report moderate decline in total industrial production in the 4th quarter of the year. New orders from the export and domestic markets also show a decline for this quarter. The outlook for the coming quarter is nevertheless considered positive.
Salmon price in the period of January 5th – January 11th
In the period of January 5th – January 11th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 92.33 per kilo, down by 8.0 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
Low price increase for manufacturing goods during 2025
Prices within the manufacturing industry rose by 2.9 percent in 2025, which is a lower price increase than 2024, when prices rose by 3.7 percent.
CPI up 3.2 per cent last 12 months
From December 2024 to December 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.2 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.1 per cent. The CPI and the CPI-ATE both increased by 0.1 per cent from November 2025 to December 2025.
