From June 2024 to June 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.0 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.1 per cent. The CPI increased by 0.2 per cent from May 2025 to June 2025, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.5 per cent in the same period.

In the period of June 30th – July 6th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 70.28 per kilo, up 2.2 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The prices that Norwegian industrial producers received for their goods on the export market were only 0.7 per cent higher in June this year compared to the same month last year. From May to June this year, prices of exported manufactured goods decreased by 1.7 per cent.

Growth in the Norwegian economy, which was constrained through 2023 and 2024 by high inflation and subsequent interest rate increases, has picked up so far this year. Although still appreciably higher than the target of 2 per cent, inflation has been falling in recent years and is substantially lower than the peak in October 2022.
