Definition By country of origin is where the good are produced wholly. Where two or more countries have taken part in the production, the origin is where the last substantial transformation took place. For more specific principles in relation to country of origin, the rule for ships, aircraft and oil platforms is that country of origin is the country that previously owned the goods (economic ownership).
