Definition Workers is the same as employees except conscripts and other employees without contract of employment, for instance mayors, board members and freelance workers.

Comments Workers are a group defined by the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) in conjunction with the Central Register on Employers and Employees (the EE-register). Employment for a period of less than seven days, or for less than four hours per week, is exempt from registration. Short-term immigrants is also registered in the EE-register.
