Business activities, breakdown of turnover by product, 2009

There was a sharp decline in turnover for supply services of personnel, despite the fact that actual prices rose by 3.2 per cent from 2008 to 2009 (see manufacturer and wholesale price indices ). The decline in turnover is mainly due to a reduction in personnel.

Supply of personnel to the construction industry experienced a drop in turnover of 38.7 per cent to NOK 2.7 billion from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, supply of personnel to the transport/warehousing/logistics industry had a turnover of NOK 1.3 billion; equivalent to a 38.9 per cent reduction compared with 2008.

In 2009, architectural and engineering services had a turnover of NOK 91.3 billion. The total turnover for engineering services including integrated engineering services for turnkey projects was NOK 43.5 billion in 2009. This makes up 47.6 per cent of total turnover for the architectural and engineering industry. Engineering services for industrial and manufacturing, and power projects, were the largest in terms of turnover within the engineering industry. Turnover for the two different subgroups in 2009 was NOK 15.2 and NOK 12.8 billion respectively.

In 2009, architectural services had a turnover of approximately NOK 5.5 billion. Plans and drawings for architectural purposes and architectural services for residential building projects made up 40.8 and 41.3 per cent of the total turnover in architectural services.

Decrease in turnover for advertising services

Enterprises within the advertising industry experienced a sharp decline in turnover from 2008 to 2009. Total turnover for the industry was NOK 16.5 billion, representing a 12 per cent drop from 2008. Advertising services consists of advertising agencies and media representation. Both groups had a decline in sales, of 12.8 per cent to NOK 6.6 billion and 11.5 per cent to NOK 9.8 billion.
