Increase for Polish lorries
In the first quarter of 2013, 3.2 million tonnes of goods were transported by lorry across the Norwegian border. This is a decrease of 2.2 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2012. Polish registered lorries had the largest relative increase of tonnage carried compared with the same quarter last year.

Polish registered lorries transported 28.3 per cent more goods than in the first quarter of 2012. The share of Polish lorries’ border transport to and from Norway is increasing, and was 5.6 per cent in the first quarter. Polish lorries and lorries registered in the Baltic countries have a combined share of all transport of 13.3 per cent.
Norwegian lorries transported 1.4 million tonnes of goods in the first quarter; 5.1 per cent less than in the first quarter of 2012. Norwegian lorries performed 41.0 per cent of the boarder transport in the first quarter of the year; 0.9 percentage points less than the same quarter last year. The share for Swedish lorries was 27.5 per cent, also slightly down from the same quarter last year.
