From the 1st quarter of 2015, the statistics on sickness absence is based on a new data source, A-ordningen. Therefore, there is a break in the series between 2014 and 2015. An error was discovered which led to some man-days lost due to own sickness (lost man-days) being counted twice in the statistics. In the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2020, the published figures for sickness absence certified by a doctor was approximately 0.10 percentage points too high, and it increased further to around 0.16 percentage points in 2021. NAV and Statistics Norway published corrected figures back to 2018 on 2 June 2022. Statistics Norway published corrected figures back to 2015 on July 11th 2022 (except for 12439 which will be updated on 8th September).
