  1. Statistics Norway has uncovered an error in the consumer price index (CPI) for October, published on 10 November 2025. The effect of a new electricity support scheme was miscalculated, leading to an overestimation of headline inflation.

  2. From October 2024 to October 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.1 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.4 per cent. The CPI increased by 0.1 per cent from September 2025 to October 2025, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.6 per cent in the same period.

  3. From September 2024 to September 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.6 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.0 per cent. The CPI increased by 0.4 per cent from August 2025 to September 2025, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.2 per cent in the same period.

  4. From August 2024 to August 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.5 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.1 per cent. The CPI decreased by 0.6 per cent from July 2025 to August 2025, while the CPI-ATE decreased by 0.7 per cent in the same period.
