The investment survey conducted during the third quarter within oil and gas, manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply in 2026 amounted to NOK 378 billion. This is 3,9 per cent higher than the corresponding figure for 2025. The increase can mainly be attributed to a clear growth in investments in electricity supply. Oil and gas activity and industrial investments are marginally lower in 2026 than in 2025 and are helping to dampen the overall upturn.

The companies' latest estimates for total investments in 2027 suggest an increase of 3,5 per cent compared to the corresponding 2026 estimate. The increase in 2027 is mainly due to the projection of a further increase in investments for electricity supply. Oil and gas activities shows a slight decrease in investment while manufacturing investment is expected to remain unchanged next year.
