Increase within technical activities

The establishments within professional, scientific and technical activities experienced an increase in seasonally-adjusted turnover by 2.3 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2014 to the 4th quarter of 2014. In the previous period, turnover decreased by 1.8 per cent.

Establishments within architectural and engineering activities and management consultancy had an increase in seasonally-adjusted turnover by 2.7 per cent and 3.3 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2014 to the 4th quarter of 2014. On the other hand, seasonally-adjusted turnover within scientific research and development decreased by 12.7 per cent. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2014, turnover within professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 3.9 per cent.

Administrative and support service activities up 0.5 per cent

Within administrative and support service activities, turnover increased by 0.5 per cent from the 3rd to the 4th quarter, according to seasonally-adjusted figures. Travel agencies and tour operators had the largest growth, by 1.7 per cent. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2013, turnover within administrative and support service activities increased by 1.8 per cent.

Small decrease for real estate activities

Seasonally-adjusted turnover decreased by 0.4 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2014 to the 4th quarter of 2014.
