Still strong growth in employment activities

The turnover for establishments within employment activities was 22.3 per cent higher in the 2nd quarter of 2011 than it was one year ago. After the financial crisis the industry is again experiencing an increasing growth in turnover. The development has been positive since the 2nd quarter of 2010.

The growth in turnover also continues for the travel agencies and the tour operators, who experienced an increase of 9.5 per cent compared with the 2nd quarter of 2010.In total, the turnover within administrative and support service activities also rose by 9.5 per cent this period.

Professional, scientific and technical activities up 4.6 per cent

The establishments within professional, scientific and technical activities had an increase in turnover of 4.6 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2010 to the 2nd quarter of 2011. The strong growth within management consultancy activities, by 16.2 per cent, made a strong contribution to this increase. The activity within advertising and market research is also increasing, and rose by 9.6 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2010 to the 2nd quarter of 2011.

Growth within real estate activities

Turnover within real estate activities increased by 6.5 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2010 to the 2nd quarter of 2011.
