Weak growth in accommodation and food service

Turnover in the industry section of accommodation and food service grew by a meagre 3 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2012 to the fourth quarter of 2013, representing the lowest year-on-year growth in the last two years.

Year-on-year growth in the industry section of accommodation and food service has been between 4.2 and 8.1 per cent over the last seven quarters.

Air transport with best growth in transportation and storage

The industry section 'transportation and storage' is divided into five industry divisions. Year-on-year growth for the section was 5.5 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2013. While the largest industry division is 'water transport', the highest growth was seen in 'air transport'. In the fourth quarter of 2013, the year-on-year growth in 'air transport' was 11.9 per cent.

Moderate growth in information and communication

In the fourth quarter of 2013, the year-on-year growth in 'information and communication' was 4.3 per cent.
