More guest nights in Norwegian hotels

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels increased by 2 per cent in October compared with October last year. The number of guest nights by Norwegians also increased by 2 per cent, while the foreign guest nights increased by 4 per cent.

The British market was the largest foreign hotel market in October this year, 8 per cent increase. Sweden and Denmark were the second and third largest foreign market, and had a 3 and 4 per cent decrease, respectively. Germany was the fourth largest foreign market and increased by 12 per cent compared with October last year.

January to October

The total number of guest nights so far in 2004 is 14.4 millions. This is an increase of 5 per cent compared with the same period last year.

1.35 million guest nights

The total number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments in October came to 1.35 million, an increase of 3 per cent compared with October last year.
