Increase in transport costs

The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.7 per cent from December 2012 to January 2013. Over the last 12 months the total costs have increased by 1.7 per cent.

Increase in capital costs

Increase in fuel prices

The fuel index increased by 1.0 per cent during the last month. From January 2012 to January 2013 this sub-index decreased by 3.2 per cent.

Increased ferry and road toll costs

The sub-index for ferry and road toll costs has increased by 0.8 per cent in the last month. Over the last 12 months the sub-index for ferry and road toll costs has increased by 3.9 per cent.

Increase in repair and service costs

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.7 per cent during the last month. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 4.0 per cent.

Higher administrative costs

Administration costs increased by 0.1 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 3.7 per cent.
