The contents of this table are calculated based on taxable persons with an amount, who have received a tax settlement and for whom Statistics Norway has received tax information.
Until 2024, the tax component 'Bank deposits' only contained domestic bank deposits, while foreign bank deposits were included in the tax component 'Other financial capital'. Starting from 2024, the tax component 'Bank deposits' contains both domestic and foreign bank deposits.
Until 2024, the tax component 'Shares and securities' only contained shares registered in the Norwegian Tax Administration's Register of Shareholders, bonds and certificates, while shares not registered in the Register of Shareholders, investment fund accounts, virtual assets and other financial products were included in the tax component 'Other financial capital'. Starting from 2024, these are included in the tax component 'Shares and securities'.
