Until 2024, the contents of this table were calculated based on all residents recorded in the population statistics at the end of the fiscal year. Starting from 2024, the contents are calculated based on taxable persons who have received a tax settlement and for whom Statistics Norway has received tax information. As of 2015, disability benefits are taxed as wages. Therefore, disability benefits from the National Insurance Scheme and other disability benefits are separated from 'Personal income from pensions' and included in 'Personal income from disability benefits (2015-)'. Starting from 2012, the tax components 'Personal income from self-employment' and 'Personal income from self-employment in fishing and family day-care (2012-)' are mutually exclusive components in this table. This is because personal income from agriculture and forestry was transferred from 'Personal income from primary industries (-2011)' to 'Personal income from self-employment'. In other contexts, 'Personal income from self-employment' often includes personal income from fishing and family day-cares as well, unless otherwise indicated.
