A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

The table includes only respondents aged 16-79 with education level registered. Weeklies, books, magazines and cartons only on paper. Information on education attainment applies to individuals aged 16 years or older and is sourced from the National education database (NUDB). The categorization is based on the Standard for Educational Grouping (NUS). In the report series Norwegian media barometer, lower secondary education (ungdomsskole) is replaced with primary and lower secondary school (grunnskole), and upper secondary education encompasses both upper secondary and vocational schools (videregående/fagskole).

The TV figures apply to both traditional TV signals through satellite, cable, or digital terrestrial network, and direct TV viewing on online TV platforms such as NRK Direkte or TV2 Play Direkte.

Audio media

Audio media include vinyl records, CDs, MP3 players, audio files that are downloaded from the Internet and streamed Internetfiles.

Video media

Video media include DVD/Blu-ray, harddisc recorders and video files, either downloaded from the Internet or streamed via Internet and paid for.
