The number of trained social workers in the social security offices increased by approximately 200 man-years from 1999 to 2000.

The number of trained social workers has increased from 1887 in year 1999 to approximately 2000 in year 2000. From year 1997 to 2000 there has been a progressively increase in the number of trained social workers in the social services. In the same period the total number of man-years in the social services has increased slightly.

About the statistics

The figures are preliminary and based on inform from approximately 95 percent of the municipalities. Preliminary figures are not published for each municipality or county. Final figures for social service staff in 2000 will be published in September.
