The operational issues are affecting systems used for the collection, processing, and publication of statistics. SSB has identified a solution to the issues and is working to restore the systems in cooperation with external experts.

– We are currently working to resolve the problem, but at this stage we cannot say when the systems will be fully restored, says Christian Thindberg, Director of IT at Statistics Norway.

There is currently no indication that the operational issues are the result of an external attack or any other unwanted security incident.

Despite the operational issues, some statistics have been published as scheduled. Statistics that have been postponed have been marked with an information notice on their respective statistics pages.

Selected CPI Figures Only

Selected key figures from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) will be published on 10 July at 08:00 in an article on ssb.no.

– We will announce a new publication date for the complete CPI tables once the technical issues have been resolved, says Christian Thindberg.

Statistics that have been postponed will be published as soon as possible once the systems have returned to normal operation.

– Our top priority is to restore the systems safely and to keep users continuously informed, says Christian Thindberg.
