Official statistics as basis for fact based decisions
Statistics Norway is striving to disseminate statistics and analyses that can provide a basis for decision making in the current crisis situation. Our main priority is to ensure that statistical releases will be published as planned.
Additionally, there is a need for information that can provide more insight into these special circumstances. We are planning to contribute to this with the publication of more current and relevant statistics and analyses which in different ways can shed light on the coronavirus’ effect on the economy and society. Among other things, we have published a weekly statistics on external trade in goods. These numbers illuminate how business and trade in Norway are affected by the decline in demand from other countries, and will be one of several indicators of the activity in the mainland economy.
