
Kristine M. Grimsrud

Grimsrud both leads and participates in several Norwegian research council–funded projects related to climate and the environment. She has published more than 45 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and also publishes regularly in Norwegian-language journals. She was a member of the government-appointed Nature Risk Commission and of the expert committee on the socioeconomic analysis of climate change adaptation.
She has been affiliated with North American universities for 15 years as both a student and faculty member. After completing her PhD and MSc at Washington State University in 2002, she served as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Food and Agricultural Economics at the University of Guelph, Canada. She subsequently held a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in the Department of Economics at the University of New Mexico (UNM), Albuquerque, USA, and entered a tenured position as Associate Professor in 2011. She has 12 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels.
