Lower investments in manufacturing

Total investments in manufacturing were somewhat lower in 2010 than in 2009. New estimates for 2011 show that the decline is levelling out.

Total investments in 2010 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity, gas and steam amounted to about NOK 34.3 billion measured in current value. This is 7 per cent less than the corresponding figure for 2009. A decline in investments within manufacturing partly explains this result. New estimates for 2011 show an 11 per cent growth in total investments. High figures for electricity, gas and steam is the sole reason for this development. The decline in investments within manufacturing is expected to come to a halt.
