High 2010-figures for electricity supply

Estimates for 2010 indicate a further decline in investments within manufacturing. However, high figures for electricity supply contribute to maintaining the total level of investment.

Estimated investments 1989-2009 collected 2nd quarter same year. Mill. current NOK

New estimates for 2010 indicate little change (year to year) in the total level of investment. Very high figures for electricity supply is the reason for this development. However, there is always a considerable degree of uncertainty related to estimates given at such an early stage. Total investments in 2009 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply are expected to amount to about NOK 41 billion, measured in current value. This is 14 per cent less than the corresponding figure for 2008.
