Significant growth in investments
Total investments in manufacturing, mining and quarrying, and electricity supply experienced considerable growth in 2007. Estimates for 2008 are significantly higher than the corresponding figures for 2007.
Total investments in 2007 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply amounted to approximately NOK 40.2 billion, measured in current value. This is 20 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2006. A significant increase in investments within manufacturing and electricity supply is the reason for this result. Estimates for 2008 are 21 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2007. This is mostly due to expectations of a much higher level of investment within the manufacturing industry.
