Considerable growth in investments
Total investments in manufacturing, mining and quarrying, and electricity supply experienced considerable growth in 2004. Estimates for 2005 are higher than the corresponding figures for 2004.
Total investments in 2004 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply amounted to approximately NOK 27 billion, measured in current value. This is 9 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2003. A general increase in the level of investment explains the high result. Estimates for 2005 are 8 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2004. This result is mostly due to several large projects within basic chemicals and electricity supply.
