  • Profitability down, return on equity slightly up

    Accounting statistics for non-financial limited companies show a decline in operating profit margin, from 9.6 per cent in 2014 to 7.4 per cent in 2015. However, the return on equity rose from 4.2 per cent to 5.2 per cent in the same period.

  • Poor profitability for listed enterprises

    The operating profit margin for listed enterprises rose 1.4 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2015 to 1.7 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2016. This was however 6 per cent lower than in the third quarter of 2016.

  • Foundations’ assets increased

    Non-financial foundations’ assets rose by over NOK 10 billion or 7 per cent to NOK 157 billion from 2014 to 2015.

  • Fall in Norwegian assets abroad

    Norwegian enterprises’ asset holdings abroad fell in 2015, after rising for several years. Total assets in foreign countries stood at NOK 1 650 billion, which was about 3 per cent down from 2014.

  • Profitability decline

    Preliminary accounting statistics show a decline in profitability for non-financial limited companies. The operating profit was NOK 6 on every NOK 100, which was down from NOK 10 in 2014.
