14 000 new enterprises

A total of 14 037 enterprises were registered during the 2nd quarter of 2014. This is 0.2 per cent more than in the 2nd quarter of 2013.

The number of new registered private limited liability companies increased by 2.7 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2013 to the 2nd quarter of 2014. In the same period, the number of new sole proprietorships decreased by 1.2 per cent. Private limited liability companies accounted for 43.5 per cent of all new enterprises in the 2nd quarter of 2014, and sole proprietorships 53 per cent.

Most new enterprises were registered within construction (15.4 per cent) and professional, scientific and technical activities (13.5 per cent).
