Seasonally adjusted volume index up 1.6 per cent
The seasonally adjusted volume index of retail sales increased by 1.6 per cent in November 2001 compared with October 2001.
The volume index not adjusted rose by 5.3 per cent in November 2001 compared with November 2000.The value index of retail sales increased by 7.0 per cent in the same period. The index excludes sales of motorized vehicles and petrol.
The final retail sales value index for November is 0.2 per cent lower than preliminary index published December 21. last year.
