A considerable rise in export price of fresh salmon

In the period from March 26th – April 1st the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 71.75 per kilo, up 10.2 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 11 423 tonnes in the period March 26th – April 1st. This is 40.3 per cent less than in the previous week, March 19th – March 25th, when exported volume was 19 138 tonnes. As in previous years, the salmon export was low in Easter week.

Norway exported 264 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 57.02 per kilo in the period March 26th – April 1st.
