Approaching all-time high hotel guest nights

The number of hotel guest nights registered in November 2016 is a record for the month of November. In 2016, a total of 21.4 million guest nights were registered at Norwegian hotels up to the end of November. This is 4 per cent more than the same period in 2015.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels increased by 4 per cent to 1.6 million in November 2016 compared with November 2015. Norwegian hotel guest nights went up 5 per cent to 1.3 million, while foreign guest nights went down 1 per cent to 266 000.

Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels increased by 5 per cent from NOK 1 081 million in November 2015 to NOK 1 133 million in November 2016.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments reached a total of 1.8 million in November 2016. This is an increase of 3 per cent compared with November 2015.
