All-time high hotel guest nights

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels increased by 544 000 or 7 per cent in June, July and August this year compared with summer 2015.

Foreign and Norwegian guest nights increased respectively by 13 and 4 per cent from June, July and August 2015.

There were 14 per cent more foreign guest nights in Norwegian hotels in August 2016 compared with August 2015. Norwegian guest nights went up 6 per cent.

Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels increased by 13 per cent from NOK 1 385 million in August 2015 to NOK 1 569 million in August 2016.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments reached a total of 4.6 million in August 2016. This is an increase of 9 per cent compared with August 2015.
