More foreign guest nights in March

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels decreased by 4 000 or 0.3 per cent in March 2016 compared with March 2015. Foreign guest nights increased by 13.9 per cent in the same month.

Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels went down 4 per cent from NOK 1 080 million in March 2015 to NOK 1 019 million in March 2016. Norwegian guest nights decreased by 55 000 or 4.3 per cent in the same period.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments reached 2.2 million in March 2016. This is an increase of 82 000 guest nights or 3.9 per cent compared with March 2015.
