Fewer guest nights in January

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments reached 1.6 million in January 2014. This is a decrease of 1.5 per cent compared with January 2013. Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels went up from NOK 822 million last January to NOK 834 million, which is an increase of 1.4 per cent.

The figure shows the number of guest nights in hotels and other similar accomodation units in January by Norwegian and foreign guests. Number of foreign guest nights are 22 per cent of total guest nights. There are an increase of 1 per cent in total guest nights from January 2013 to January 2014.
