Increase in number of guest nights

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments total increased by 3 per cent in the summer of 2005 compared with the summer last year. Both domestic and non-resident guest nights increased.

Incorrect figures for course/conference and holiday/recreation

Some errors have occurred for about 25 hotels in the reporting of course/conference and holiday/recreation for January to August 2005. These errors will influence neither the total nor the number of occupational guest nights.

For September these errors are calculated and the attached table shows the difference in per cent and in absolute figures divided by county. The errors are largest in Hedmark and in Oppland, while the figures for Østfold, Buskerud, Vestfold, Vest-Agder and Nordland were correct. The figures for January to August will be corrected as soon as possible. See table
