Peak year for accommodation establishments

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments increased by 6 per cent to 25.3 million in 2004. This is the highest number of guest nights recorded in one year in Norway.

Collective accommodation establishments. Number of domestic guest nights. 1998-2004

The number of foreign guest nights increased by 5 per cent in 2004, although the 2004 level is still 12 per cent lower than the peak year of 1998. Since then there has been a marked decline in German and Swedish guest nights.
