Increase in guest nights at Norwegian hotels

The number of guest nights at Norwegian hotels increased by 3 per cent in November 2004 compared with November 2003. The number of guest nights by Norwegians also increased by 2 per cent, while the foreign ones increased by 12 per cent.

The British and the Swedish markets were the two largest foreign hotel markets in November, with a 9 and 11 per cent increase respectively.

January to November

The total number of guest nights so far in 2004 was 15.5 million. This is an increase of 5 per cent compared with the same period in 2003.

1.29 million guest nights

The total number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments in November came to 1.29 million, an increase of 6 per cent compared with November 2003.
