5 per cent more guest nights by Norwegians

The number of guest nights at Norwegian collective accommodation establishments increased by 3 per cent, from 1.56 millions in May last year to 1.61 millions in May this year. The domestic demand increased by 5 per cent, while the foreign demand decreased by 3 per cent.

The number of guest nights at holiday dwellings, hotels and youth hostels increased, while the camping experienced a decrease. One reason for the increase for holiday dwellings and decrease for hotels is that some of the larger holiday dwellings were earlier incorrectly categorised as hotels.
